 名祉字仰止，1930 年生於山東省濟南市，於國立復興崗大學暨香港中文大學畢業，過去是一名廣告設計師；也曾任教於政校、文化、淡江－中原、光仁、北一女、榮光、雨聲等小、中、大學、碩士班美術教授；曾擔任臺灣省展，全國美展，國防部新文藝輔導會東部輔導委員、金馬美術輔導委員、國軍美術研究會研究員，國軍全軍金像獎，金環獎評審委員。現任中華民國畫學會理事、中華民國全國美展評審委員、臺灣省全省美展評審委員、中華民國水彩畫會會長、省立美術館、北市社教館水彩及水墨教授、臺灣省立美術館審查委員、上海交通大學東方藝術中心顧問。2022年病逝於台北
